Lewis Hamilton hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a sequel to F1: The Movie, emphasizing the importance of not rushing into it. The film, led by Brad Pitt, became Apple’s highest-grossing movie, earning $144 million globally during its opening weekend. Hamilton co-produced the film and advised director Joe Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer during the filming at different grands prix between 2023 and 2024. He stressed the need to let the current project “simmer” and not hastily jump into a sequel, highlighting the extensive effort and sacrifices made during the four-year production. Hamilton suggested that taking time to perfect a potential sequel would be the wisest approach, as rushing could lead to subpar results. Additionally, he mentioned his ongoing involvement in Hollywood, pushing for a post-production debrief similar to those in F1 teams to analyze areas for improvement. Hamilton’s active role extended to aiding in the scriptwriting and movie development, where various F1 figures, including Zak Brown, Toto Wolff, and Fred Vasseur, made cameo appearances.
